The Board of Christian Education consists of all ministry leaders of the Morning Star Baptist Church.

The Board is responsible for planning programs designed to spiritually prepare the church family and congregation to respond to God in faith and love through ministry in the life of the church and community. Departmental workshops and leadership institutes are held during the year.

Through this ministry, the congregation and church family are given the spiritual education and leadership needed to grow in God’s word and recognize His grace and mercy.

The Board was organized under the leadership of Dr. T. Oscar Chappelle, Sr. to enhance spiritual growth and encouragement for the congregation and church family through training and leadership workshops.

Programs planned by the Board include Pastor’s Anniversary, Vacation Bible School, Watch Night Service, Family and Friends Day, Homecoming, and T. Oscar Chappelle, Sr. Scholarship Day.

The Board members work with community leaders and other churches to minister to the needs of the community with workshops, leadership institutes and programs that teach more about God’s word and His will for our lives.
