The Brotherhood Ministry consists of all male members of the Morning Star Baptist Church. Once a male joins the church, he also becomes a member of the Brotherhood.

The Brotherhood offers male members the opportunity to meet and fellowship with the men of the church. This ministry affords bonding and the chance to exchange ideas on a variety of subjects.

Through this ministry, the men can work together and reach out to the rest of the church membership. Working with the young men of the congregation is an important part of the ministry. Another task is to reach out to men throughout the community and city.

This ministry was an outgrowth of a series of vision meetings with Dr. T. Oscar Chappelle, Jr. and some of the men of the church.

The Brotherhood meets on the third Saturday of each month at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast. Each month a different team of brothers prepare the breakfast. In 1999, the Brotherhood decided to sponsor a City-Wide Men’s Prayer Breakfast. This breakfast has grown and continues to grow. There have been as many as 19 churches from the Tulsa metro area and as many as 120 men in attendance. The Brotherhood also sponsors a Fellowship Banquet in February of each year as a way for members to come together and celebrate love and friendship. Originally organized for couples, it has steadily grown to include all members and friends.
